Imparts courage!

You watch a show of Satyamev Jayate and the emotions are etched in your mind!

When I'm thinking of the show I have the lady who smiles so well and beautifully, and there was this time in her life when her face was bitten by her husband, I can't forget the guy who was abused for more than a decade, and many others who participated; few victims, some co-victims, and then there is Aamir trying to help us understand these things exist and don't be surprised just because you haven't heard of it, or never bothered to know what it is.

Aamir tries to convey each message very clearly, translates word to word; English - Hindi and vice versa!

I started to think of people I may know who have experienced unfaithfulness in life.

The bad feeling or experience could be created by your ownself or given by parents, lovers, spouse, in-laws, friend's, colleagues etc.

Then I started to think of Sushma Nayak, an ex-colleague of mine from my Convergys days. I met this girl somewhere in between those 13-14 months before I moved to HP. It was Sushma's birthday on 25th May, I saw the update on Facebook to wish friends and visited her page instead of the regular leaving a message through the alert.

Read few updates on her page and I was completely out of my half-sleepy sense, as I was still on bed and it was my weekend. Searched through Google, another friend of mine was on-line and I mentioned this to her. She quickly found and sent me a link: "Sushma hanged herself to death on 10th Oct 2011".

Many on Sushma's friends list have no update of this tragic incident. I wonder what instigated Sushma to take a step to end it all, with one decision so wrong.

What had happened between Kiran, her husband and Sushma? What happened when they visited Kiran's native, Honnavar? What are her parents doing about it? Are her sister's following up on the case? I'm so clueless.

I will be in Bangalore in few months and would visit her family, meanwhile gathering as much information as I can through friends (ex-colleagues). I wish to meet the truth - Sushma!

Why are our life's so unimportant to us, why are we so unsure of who and what is right. Is the traditional method of obeying parents and marrying, the only solution to not regret a marriage - loved and self decided.

All through this I realise and regret my decisions about many things and also about those innocents - I had then thought it was right as I didn't want to bring into this earth souls who have no idea of what he was doing with someone he loved and married, only to take her through hell and for her to walk out of it!

Effects of the Episodes and Testimonials

Sunday's I'm in the Office during the relay time, as I live & work in UAE and the videos on You tube don't buffer, as it is blocked here. So I do the Torrent Download (some kind people are effort fully and on time uploading them).

I'm excited, tuned and attentive to each episode.

I didn't feel the stroke I felt watching the First and Second episode of Satyamev Jayate, while I was on the Third episode.

I wondered if the punches and the emotions are reducing so early in the planned life of the show - Satyamev Jayate!

That's when I realised Aamir or the shows head would have definitely decided on the most effective topic to start with and then we have many topics that are one time "watch and listen" topics for us now as we feel we are tired of it all..

Few that I could think of are: Government offices and the activities, Court's and never ending cases, Admission fees ( School donation's), Food adulteration through Suppliers, Sports Scams, Election Scams, Land Grabbing and related scams, NGO Scams, Ashram's and the real actions behind those walls, Corporate and Government Job Scams, Banning the Inter family marriages, Child marriages, Early motherhood etc.

Parliament on 22nd May 2012 cleared the decks for protecting children below the age of 18 from sexual abuse through voice vote.

Speedy trials & severe punishment to offenders ranging from 10 yrs to life imprisonment. The bill is gender-neutral, it is to protect children from sexual offences. The most important aspect of the bill is that the burden of proof will be on the accused and not on victim.

It is designed child-friendly and has provisions for in-camera proceedings. Helplines would be put in place for anybody to contact and let the authorities know of any sexual abuse.

Also, a woman officer not below the rank of inspector would handle any complaint.

Even if the intentions were malafide, harsh punishment would be meted out after checking the antecedents of the accused. Imposing of fines has been left to the courts, because there may be a few who would not be able to pay the penalty & there would be a few offenders who by virtue of being rich may keep on committing the offence repeatedly after paying the fine.

One step at a time and the change is possible. For this , I say, Amen.

The Storm respectfully known as Satyamev Jayate

Someone said we needed an Aamir Khan to point out the hideous activities.

His team & Aamir are relaying the Truth, week after week. Facts and figures, which we are surprised with, common don't act like you didn't know.

Who are the doers of these topics we discussed? They are amongst us!

How many of us will morally stop a cousin Brother or your own self who is about to get married and will have a wife with benefits like: 5 plus kgs of Gold, Car, Branded watch (that's the term used!), her families saving, some land transferred in her name (eventually yours). We would rather talk about his (make it our group gain) achievements proudly amongst our friends and fellas.

How many of us will suggest an Uncle/ Aunt or for that matter your Dad/ Mom when he is trying to gather all that money for Dowry to get the girls in your family married. We go enjoy the wedding and boast about it for years to come.

Many of us are aware & decide not to open mouth against our family members when they are happy about a child destruction and preparing the Daughter in Law for another try, while she is still mourning.

Who are these people and where are they hidden? Thye are our family members, extended families, cousins, colleagues, neighbours, people like you and me active on facebook, twitter, seen in social circuits etc.

No where but around us Watching the Show. Abusing Aamir mentally, as being loud will expose them with their thoughts. Concluding that's not how things work in the real world as Aamir comes from reel World.
Liking Aamir Khan's page (b'cause others are doing it). Thinking Aamir is equipped with Money and Power to host any thing he feels like.

But I know what I'm doing is right always, because that's what Mom, Dad, Grandparents have to say and they will never plan anything less for me.

You are not your Fathers boy if you go against his will in Marriage Market.

You are destroying your mothers dream if you don't involve her in your plans of making babies.

You are not an ideal sibling if you don't discuss how much money is coming into the family after your marriage and how your brother, brother in law et al. will be your Partner's.

This is a never ending flow of thought of mine, based on what I've heard, read and experienced.

May the force be with us to be the change and welcome the change.
